Crane Steel Wire Rope
-
Introduction:
Steel wire rope for crane is composed of steel wire, rope core, and lubricating grease. In material handling machinery, it is used for lifting, pulling, tensioning, and carrying. Steel wire ropes for crane is usually used for lifting mechanism such as hoist, winch, and trolley, thus these wire ropes have high strength, lightweight, smooth to operate, and are not prone to sudden breakage, making them reliable in operation.

Parameters:
1. Diameter: 5mm to 40mm.
2. Tensile Strength: 1770 N/mm2 to 1960 N/mm2.
4. Class: 6x19 or 6x37.
5. Coating: galvanized, stainless steel, and polyurethane.
6. Working Load Limit: 1 to 5 times their breaking strength.
7. Material: high-strength steel wire mainly composed of elements such as carbon, silicon, manganese, sulfur, phosphorus, etc. This type of steel wire has the characteristics of high strength, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, etc.
Before use, it should be checked
Inspection scope: Check the degree of wear, corrosion, stretching, bending, deformation, fatigue, wire breakage, and exposed core of the steel wire rope to determine its safe lifting capacity (including scrapping).
Maintenance precautions
1. The service life and usage method of steel wire ropes are closely related, so they should be used according to regulations. Dragging and throwing are prohibited, overloading is not allowed during use, sharp angle bending of the steel wire rope is not allowed, and sudden changes in lifting speed are not allowed to avoid impact loads.
2. When there is rust and dirt on the steel wire rope, use a steel wire brush to brush it off and apply oil.
3. The steel wire rope should be coated with oil every 4 months. When applying oil, soak the core of the rope with hot oil (around 50 ℃), and then wipe off any excess oil.
4. After the steel wire rope is coiled, it should be placed in a clean and dry place, without overlapping or stacking, to prevent twisting.
5. The end of the steel wire rope can be tied tightly with steel wire or welded with a low melting point alloy, or iron hoops can be used to prevent the rope head from loosening.
6. During use, if there are oil droplets squeezed out on the surface of the steel wire rope, it indicates that the steel wire rope has been subjected to considerable force. At this time, the increase in load should be stopped and checked. If necessary, a new steel wire rope should be replaced.
7. The load-bearing capacity of the traction steel wire rope should be 5-8 times the total traction force.
